What crop are you growing?
Every input teaches you something
FarmProfitCalculatorX doesn't just crunch numbers, it explains the farming decisions behind them.
Why fertilizer choice matters
Different fertilizers release nutrients differently. Matching the type and timing to your crop's stage reduces waste and protects margins.
Why yield matters
Yield turns a fixed farm size into production and revenue. Small, realistic changes in expected yield move profit more than almost any other input.
Why location matters
Location sets your local weather outlook and rainfall patterns, both of which affect when inputs like fertilizer are used most efficiently.
Why weather matters
Heavy rain shortly after fertilizing can wash nutrients away; dry spells can strand them in the soil. Timing is often as important as the amount applied.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Farm Profit Calculator free to use?
Yes. It gives you an instant, free estimate of your farm profitability. No account or payment is required.
How accurate is the profit estimate?
It is a planning estimate based on the yield, price and cost figures you provide, plus a live weather outlook for your location. Treat it as a guide to compare scenarios, not a guaranteed outcome.
What are break-even yield and break-even price?
Break-even yield is the yield per hectare at which your revenue exactly covers your total costs, at the selling price you entered. Break-even price is the price per tonne that covers your costs at the yield you expect. If your expected figures are well above these, the plan has room for a bad season or a lower price.
Which currency are the figures shown in?
You choose the currency in the production step. Nothing is converted: every figure is simply labelled with the currency you picked, so enter your prices and costs in that same currency.
Where does the weather data come from?
Current conditions and a 7-day forecast come from Open-Meteo for the location you enter, and are used to flag simple risks such as heavy rain around fertilizer timing.
Can I print my budget?
Yes. On the results page, choose Print budget to get a one-page farm budget with revenue, every cost line, profit and break-even figures. Your browser's print dialog can also save it as a PDF.
Can I use this for more than one crop or plan?
Yes. Recalculate as many times as you like. Each run is independent, so you can compare crops, fields or pricing scenarios one after another.
Is my data sent anywhere?
The farm details and costs you enter stay in your browser. Only the place name you search for is sent to Open-Meteo to find the weather. The site counts anonymous feature use, as described in the privacy policy.
